Aspiration, Application, Achievement
Every Monday after school we have been running a Maths club focus around the developing reasoning skills as well as incorporating STEM.
“So far in maths club we have done things such as building bridges, solving GCSE problems and more to come soon. We designed bridges to fit across a 15cm span out of paper, straws and cello tape. We had to budget our materials against other groups, we will be testing them after half term and the winning group that can hold the most weight will win a prize. We enjoy maths club so much that we attend it every week. After half term we are going to do outdoor practical work such as measuring problems and trigonometry. We would love other people to join this maths club as it helps with our education in school and outside of school, we strongly recommend this club to other students to help them with their maths and their future life” (Krystian Paciepnik, Daniel Kellow and Alex Bosley Year 8)
